3. Nature of the services

Thamanati is a private risk and crisis management consultancy: pre-commitment due diligence, consent-based verification and support in crisis situations. The firm works exclusively from lawful sources: open sources, documents provided by the client, and verifications carried out with consent.

• The firm carries out no investigation activity within the meaning of the Private Security Act (CQLR, c. S-3.5): it does not search for persons and collects no information about a person who has not consented in writing. Verifications that fall within a reserved activity are not offered by the firm: the client is referred to an agency licensed by the Bureau de la sécurité privée, with which the client contracts directly. The firm is not a party to that contract and assumes no liability for its performance.
• Thamanati is not a law firm and provides no legal advice; where the situation requires it, the client is referred to a lawyer.
• The firm offers no surveillance, no physical tailing, no person-location service and no access to third parties' communications.
